Westminster and Holborn Law Society is a vibrant group of legal professionals with widely differing specialities, experience and size of firm. The Society’s role, on behalf of its members, is to represent lawyers in Central London and provide a forum for discussion and networking. Its sub committees enable the Society to engage with legal developments and, through our Council Members, your voice can be heard on the National Law Society Council of England & Wales.

WHLS actively encourages regional and international networking through a variety of legal and social events by:

Working with other regional Law Societies and the Inns of Court.

Liaising with the Law Society of England & Wales.

Being a member of the Fédération des Barreaux d’Europe.

Being twinned with the Paris, Berlin and Barcelona bar associations (Barreau de Paris, Berliner Rechtsanwaltskammer and Ilustre Colegio de l’Abogacía de Barcelona (ICAB)), as well as many others through less formal arrangements via our wide-ranging professional networks.

Producing our professional society magazine the London Lawyer, keeps members up-to-date with activities including profiles of individuals, firms and member contributed articles.

Comprising around 10,000 solicitors and many more legal professionals, our constituency stretches right across Central London, from Westminster in the west to the City of London in the east. Many of our members are from within this area but you are very welcome to join us, even if you are based in another geographical area, and don't forget to sign up to our newsletter.

I hope you are enjoying our magazine and I very much look forward to seeing you at one of our many events.

President
